Do you work with platform users?

Salesforce platform users are typically quite limited and, as such, will have restrictions both in Salesforce and third-party apps like ours.

In terms of our integration, a platform user will have access to and can utilize various application components. This includes viewing and using the app’s core features, such as managing audiences and settings.  The Data Wizard and Field Mappings functionalities are also accessible, allowing users to map data fields as needed. 

Other limitations include:

  • Users with this license cannot perform the initial connection setup because they do not have access to the metadata API. 
  • This restriction also means they cannot run page layout configurations. 
  • Additionally, while users can choose to create a lead or updates when using the Field Mappings feature, they may find that this action does not produce any visible results.
  • Although possible, we don't recommend a platform user is used as a Salesforce sync user. We are also unable to support any troubleshooting of its configuration.
