Road Map & Release Notes

Below you will find the features we are currently working on alongside release notes for features we have already released.

New versions are automatically pushed to Salesforce organisations on a regular basis. You can also manually upgrade by going to our listing and click the get it now button. Or you can use the link just below the date to test in your Salesforce sandbox.

Roadmap

Below are some things we are currently working on, as always we are keen to get your thoughts. So if you would like us to add a feature or you have comments on our roadmap please let us know.

Invocable Action

Invocable actions for use in Salesforce automation (flows or apex) have been released. The feature is currently in beta, and we appreciate your feedback. Our Invocable Actions guide has more information.

Salesforce Campaigns

This feature, if enabled, would automatically create Salesforce Campaigns based on sent Mailchimp emails.

Things to consider:
‍1. The dedicated Mailchimp campaigns we have in Salesforce provide this information already.
2. Creating Salesforce Campaigns and Campaign members when we already have Mailchimp campaigns and audience members takes up Salesforce storage.
3. The processing overhead in Salesforce is considerable.
4. Salesforce Campaigns and Campaign members is a well used object and there is a chance of conflict with other processes.

Not yet released (no ETA as of now). More information here.

The icons for audience in the audience list aren't reflecting whether or not a create rule is on/off

The Audience list now features an improved icon system that accurately reflects the status of your create rules. Users will notice that the icons will dynamically update based on whether a create rule is active or not, enhancing the clarity of your audience management. Additionally, the hover text has been adjusted to provide accurate information, ensuring that it corresponds correctly with the rule status. This update streamlines the user experience and helps maintain better visibility of audience rules.

SF>MC field updates aren't reaching all related members when contact has >1 member

The latest update enhances the Salesforce to Mailchimp sync functionality, addressing an issue where field mappings were not consistently updating for all related members within a single audience when triggered. This improvement ensures that when multiple members are attached to a contact and a sync is initiated, the mapped field values will now be correctly applied across all related members. Additionally, the retrospective sync feature has been refined to guarantee that it updates more than one member as expected, providing a smoother experience for users managing their contact data. These enhancements not only streamline the syncing process but also improve data accuracy and integrity, allowing for a more efficient integration between Salesforce and Mailchimp.

Update member record in salesforce when member is Permanent deleted in Mailchimp

The integration now ensures that when a member is permanently deleted in Mailchimp, the corresponding record is accurately updated in the system. This enhancement addresses the previous issue where users had to manually refresh or access member details to see a failed status. Now, if a matching Mailchimp record cannot be found during a refresh or sync, the member record will be appropriately marked as failed or missing. This improvement streamlines the user experience, allowing for a clearer understanding of member statuses, especially in cases where email changes may occur before the contact ID is synced.

The latest update enhances the handling of duplicate contacts within the Salesforce integration. When creating multiple contacts with the same email, the system now accurately displays the related contact with a pink icon, indicating its association with the membership. However, the duplicate contact is expected to show a grey head icon to signify that it is simply displaying the matched email.
