Can I make a member active again?
When someone unsubscribes from Mailchimp, they will not automatically be made active again. However, there are two exceptions to this rule regarding our Salesforce integration:
1. Manual Reactivation via Membership Component:
You can manually reactivate a person via our membership component. To do this, navigate to the “Manage List” section, find the account, email, and audience, and move them back to the “Subscribed” status.
2. Automated Reactivation Using an Invocable Action:
In the “Advanced Settings” section on our action, there’s an option to enable the “Resubscribe Member” action. When triggered, this flow will attempt to set a person back to “Active.” This automated approach is useful for efficiently handling multiple records. However, please note Mailchimp has strict resubscribe rules. Invocable Actions
Troubleshooting: You can use the manual approach above, as it will give you real-time feedback on any errors. Click the Failed badge for more info.
Keep in mind, that if a person has unsubscribed via the link on an email, you will not be able to resubscribe them automatically you will need to use the manual approach in point 1. This is to comply with Mailchimp's rules.
